We officially made it to Japan! I met my team of 23 in LA and flew out to Japan on September 1st. I have been so blessed to be surrounded by such a godly group of people.

Since arriving in Tokyo, I have met our hosts, Karen and Joanna. I have been growing a connection with people on my team and people in the community.

The time difference is something I had to get used to.. I am 16 hours ahead of my family in Arizona. Also the weather is completely different, it has been raining nonstop and is very humid.

Throughout the past week we have been in training camp. This consists of growing spiritually as well as growing individually into an independent young adult. As a team we worship, listen to teachings, cook meals, and live together.

Japan is such a beautiful country, the people are so respectful, although most tend to keep to themselves. They seem very content with what they are given. Except there seems to be some longing for something greater. Most crave basic human interaction.

This last Saturday our team was able to go out in the community and evangelize to the locals. To be honest I was quite nervous because of the language barrier and wanted to represent Christ through how I was talking. While asking God to bring us divine appointments to share His Gospel we found ourselves in the middle of a work party bbq. My group and I had the opportunity to evangelize to the moms at the park and to a business man. God is truly so amazing!
